Winter festival · Klamath Falls, OR

Family fun for everyone.

Since 1984, the Klamath Snowflake Festival has brought family-friendly fun to generations. Though the festival is nestled in the heart of the holiday season, it is not, specifically, a “Christmas festival,” as some may think. Rather, it is a celebration of ALL THINGS SNOW…open to everyone to join together as a community for some fun with a frosty edge!

Bundle up, bring the family, and join us for a parade, festive events, and plenty of hot cocoa right here in Klamath Falls.

The festival’s traditional opening on the Saturday after Thanksgiving starts two weeks of events, including special performances at the Ross Ragland Theater and the big, annual parade–to be held this year on Thursday, December 10th. All events are presented by non-profit and for-profit groups in the joyful spirit of the winter season. Baby, it may be cold outside but there are good times to be had! Bundle up and come on out. It’s a great way to “chill” with friends, you might say!

Many Born-and-Bred-locals hold fond childhood memories of bundling up from head-to-toe and venturing out into the crisp night air to partake of the Snowflake festivities: sipping steamy cocoa that mom poured from a thermos while eagerly waiting for the parade to start, gathering together with friends to watch the city’s tree lighting ceremony and enjoying musical celebrations and seasonal craft displays, such as the gingerbread house contest. It’s time once again to enjoy the fun and share the experience, making special memories with new generations!
